About Me
Born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. I attended Sealey Elementary, Griffin Middle and Leon High Schools. I’ve spent most of my life working in the music industry. In 1988 I began work at the Leon County Civic Center as a stage hand. From 1989 to 1992 I was employed by Main Street Music as the Commercial audio sales manager. In 1992 I began work with Jeff Hanson the owner of Club 506 and Metropolis during this time in the bar business we opened and sold Big Daddy’s and Fat & Skinny’s. 1995 Metropolis changed it’s format to live music and it’s name to Floyd’s Music Store. In 1996 we formed JHMP to manage a little-known college rock band by the name of Creed, with JHMP as their managers Creed went on to capture seven #1 hits and sell over 35 million records worldwide. In 2004 as Creed called it quits I exited JHMP and the music business all together leaving behind Bombtrax and Silent Majority. In 2005 I partnered with a FSU alumni Terry Robinson to open Robinson Outdoors a chain of Outdoor Power Equipment stores based in Central FL. While Robinson Outdoors occupies much of my time I’ve continued to develop a number of .com start-ups the latest of those being Mowergeek.com a online lawn equipment parts retailer and Filtergeek.com a discount air filter store that has rapidly expanded into a major Florida distributor of air filters. When I’m relaxing with my son Palmer and wife Tahny I enjoy auto racing of all types, Home Automation and collecting Radio Controlled Cars, Boats, Planes and the occasional Helicopter.
